花筏  SF Koto Group Hanaikada

We have been sharing our Koto music with residents of nursing homes, patients in hospitals and library audiences in the San Francisco bay area.

We enjoy being able to share our koto performance with them.

花筏 Hanaikada (1968) “Flower Raft”  composed by Tadao Sawai (1937-1997)

The flower raft courses down the river, pausing at the water’s edge, then streaming down again rapidly to come to stand still in a quiet eddy.

"Hanaikada" was performed by members and guests of the Shoko Hikage Koto Studio during their Flowers Will Bloom concert on November 30, 2013.
